Summary

After narrowly escaping death at the hands of the Dames Blanches, Lou, Reid, Coco, and Ansel are on the run from coven, kingdom, and church—fugitives with nowhere to hide。

To elude the scores of witches and throngs of chasseurs at their heels, Lou and Reid need allies。 Strong ones。 But protection comes at a price, and the group is forced to embark on separate quests to build their forces。 As Lou and Reid try to close the widening rift between them, the dastardly Morgane baits them in a lethal game of cat and mouse that threatens to destroy something worth more than any coven。

The hotly anticipated sequel to the New York Times and IndieBound bestseller Serpent & Dove—packed with even steamier romance and darker magic—is perfect for fans of Sarah J。 Maas。

4。25/5 stars (i don't really do 。25 but it was the only fitting rating here sjddkj)I can't believe I read a 500+ page book? WOW。 I definitely think this was too long but I love Lou and Reid so much, and loved the moments they had together, and it made it amazing for me。 And just the character development was really great。 4。25/5 stars (i don't really do 。25 but it was the only fitting rating here sjddkj)I can't believe I read a 500+ page book?

Louise le Blanc and Reid Diggory's story continues, as they start their journey to defeat Morgane。 Much like the first book, this book fun to read, even though there were plot holes。 The character arcs were nice to see, but there were certain changes that happened too fast, too unexplainably。 The ending has me looking forward to the last book, but there was a chance I would have given up with the second if some sort of closure was given。 Overall, I liked this book, but it wouldn't be one I would Louise le Blanc and Reid Diggory's story continues, as they start their journey to defeat Morgane。 Much like the first book, this book fun to read, even though there were plot holes。 The character arcs were nice to see, but there were certain changes that happened too fast, too unexplainably。 The ending has me looking forward to the last book, but there was a chance I would have given up with the second if some sort of closure was given。 Overall, I liked this book, but it wouldn't be one I would read again。 。。。more

I had to look for a recap of the "Serpent & Dove" book (because I didn't remember anything, and I read it just last autumn - yes, was "so memorable")。 This one was a struggle。 The first book was not my favorite, and now I will have to wait for the third one (and read it) just because I cannot have unfinished sagas。 The character development was poor and the plot weak。 There were so many elements to dig into to create a more extensive and interesting plot that it's a pity that the author didn't t I had to look for a recap of the "Serpent & Dove" book (because I didn't remember anything, and I read it just last autumn - yes, was "so memorable")。 This one was a struggle。 The first book was not my favorite, and now I will have to wait for the third one (and read it) just because I cannot have unfinished sagas。 The character development was poor and the plot weak。 There were so many elements to dig into to create a more extensive and interesting plot that it's a pity that the author didn't took advantage of them。 Instead, this were 500+ pages of a trip with a lot chapters in which nothing really happened or what it happened, was irrelevant。 The writing style, didn't hook me up and it was very slow。 I'm starting to have a problem with YA novel's authors which create characters full of emotions and situations worthy of a 40+ yr, and not because of the age, but for the level of experience and maturity that it is required to face them, and instead (of course, obviously) the characters create more problems than the ones they had at the beginning。 The plot is around the mistakes they have created rather than good plot building。This book it's boring。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I struggled with the first book of this series but I fell in love with Reid and couldn't stop thinking about it so I caved to read this one。 In all honesty I paused at before starting part 3 knowing it was going to end similarly to serpent and dove。I really don't like books that end on cliffhangers, and I really don't like stories that feel like the characters are never on the same page with each other - that they're constantly fighting an uphill battle to be there for the other person。I wanted I struggled with the first book of this series but I fell in love with Reid and couldn't stop thinking about it so I caved to read this one。 In all honesty I paused at before starting part 3 knowing it was going to end similarly to serpent and dove。I really don't like books that end on cliffhangers, and I really don't like stories that feel like the characters are never on the same page with each other - that they're constantly fighting an uphill battle to be there for the other person。I wanted to love this series, I really did! But good god。Lou hesitated??? She hesitated!! And then an all powerful being shows up and instead of ending it there and being done it let Morgane go??? For love?? Or something that may have been love at one point?? The woman is positively insane!!! I'm so done, sorry this was rambling I'm so mad。 I can't bring myself to want to read the third book that will come out in June(?) I want to finish the story, but if the author keeps ending things like this then it's not fun to read。 。。。more

Literally could not put this down。 I finished Serpent and Dove Sunday and was luckily able to borrow Blood and Honey immediately after - then ran through it in 3 days。 I loved every twist and turn, the anticipation of how things would resolve kept me turning every page。 I thoroughly enjoy the mix of French words and cursing - I also loved getting pulled further into the grander world of magic。 While not having to bore into deep chapters of history and minutiae of folklore。 I cannot wait to read Literally could not put this down。 I finished Serpent and Dove Sunday and was luckily able to borrow Blood and Honey immediately after - then ran through it in 3 days。 I loved every twist and turn, the anticipation of how things would resolve kept me turning every page。 I thoroughly enjoy the mix of French words and cursing - I also loved getting pulled further into the grander world of magic。 While not having to bore into deep chapters of history and minutiae of folklore。 I cannot wait to read the next one but I guess I’ll have to as it doesn’t release until July。 But did I just pre-order it? Cliff hangerTW for infant/child deathThat ending was BS。 Total cliffhanger。 Overall I enjoyed this book。 It had good characters and character arcs。 Having two points of view actually helped the story along and wasn’t frustrating to read。 I enjoyed watching both character struggle internally against what they wanted and believed。 I will be reading the next book and i’m annoyed that I thought the third book was already out only to find out it doesn’t release for three more months。I did roll my eye Cliff hangerTW for infant/child deathThat ending was BS。 Total cliffhanger。 Overall I enjoyed this book。 It had good characters and character arcs。 Having two points of view actually helped the story along and wasn’t frustrating to read。 I enjoyed watching both character struggle internally against what they wanted and believed。 I will be reading the next book and i’m annoyed that I thought the third book was already out only to find out it doesn’t release for three more months。I did roll my eyes at several scenes and some things just made zero sense at all and were ridiculous which knocked down my rating。 Like harming a friend and having everyone be upset and then suddenly nobody is upset and it’s like it never happened when it was made to be a pivotal moment。 Makes no sense。 Or the back and forth on if they love each other, the fighting and not saying how they actually feel, that was pretty annoying at times and a bit excessive。 I hope the next book has more action and less back and forth with the two main characters BUT don’t actually see that happening。 。。。more

2。5。Should have been a duology, imho。 Not enough to sustain suspense, or push forward the series until the very end。

I almost never not finish a book I started。 But I just can't。 The way the main caracter behaves is childish and often really strange。 I kept rereading the last paragraphs because I must have missed something important what could have triggered this unexpected behavior。 But no。。。。 this was a big disappointment。If anyone wants to have this book just pay me the shipping costs and it's yours。 Same for the first part of the series。 I can't have it in my bookcase next to my good books。 I almost never not finish a book I started。 But I just can't。 The way the main caracter behaves is childish and often really strange。 I kept rereading the last paragraphs because I must have missed something important what could have triggered this unexpected behavior。 But no。。。。 this was a big disappointment。If anyone wants to have this book just pay me the shipping costs and it's yours。 Same for the first part of the series。 I can't have it in my bookcase next to my good books。 。。。more

A white witch, a blood witch, a witch killer, his apprentice, and a prince walk into the forest。。。Second in a series, this book was。。。 fine。 The romance, which is a driving force behind most actions, is a bit lack luster, so the rest of the book lagged for me。 Maybe I didn't like that characters projected their problems onto others。 Maybe the climax was, well, anti-climactic。 I suspect this book was a way to tie up loose ends and set the stage for the next series of events。Looking forward to the A white witch, a blood witch, a witch killer, his apprentice, and a prince walk into the forest。。。Second in a series, this book was。。。 fine。 The romance, which is a driving force behind most actions, is a bit lack luster, so the rest of the book lagged for me。 Maybe I didn't like that characters projected their problems onto others。 Maybe the climax was, well, anti-climactic。 I suspect this book was a way to tie up loose ends and set the stage for the next series of events。Looking forward to the next book since this one left me hanging。 。。。more
